To Coupon or not to coupon?

By Administrator

It seems like everytime I look at my computer or check my email there is a "brand NEW, even BETTER" coupon site out there and they all describe themselves by saying "like Groupon or Living Social". I thought coupons had gone out of style like playing racquetball...

I guess not. People seem to be jumping on. I mean, there are some great deals to be had! There are drawbacks and advantages to everything we do and how we do them, but if you can get more for your money these days, it's a good thing. So, when approached by a gal who is an actual Open City guest that works with one of these dealers, I had to check it out. PopSugar is a national site aimed towards young professionals and the goings on in their modern lives. The Fresh Guide is their local hub to help you figure out how to take advantage of deals in your own town. We ran a coupon with Fresh Guide as they posted an amazing editorial and fabulous pictures (nice cappuccino, Mick!) and we are so pleased that it sold out in one day! We look very forward to having the folks that will get $40 worth of food and bevs for $20. Sweet deal. So, what's next? I'd like to hear from you. Is the coupon craze here to stay? What are your thoughts on some of the individual sites? Is there another marketing idea we should go for? Leave your comments here or, as always, I'm available at heather@opencitydc.com
